1. The agreement
These terms are between you and Jaime (“Jaime”, “we”). They cover the hosted service at askjaime.xyz, the Jaime desktop and mobile apps, and our APIs. By creating an account or using Jaime you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy. If you are using Jaime for an organisation, you confirm you may bind it to these terms.
You must be at least 16, and at least the age of digital consent where you live.
2. Your account
- Keep your credentials to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account until you tell us it has been compromised.
- Give us a working email address; it is how we reach you about your account, security, and changes to these terms.
- One person per account. Workspaces are how you share; see §6.
3. Plans, credits, and payment
Plans
Paid plans (Pro, Ultra, Max) are monthly subscriptions billed in advance through Stripe. Each plan grants a monthly allowance of universal credits when its invoice is paid. Prices, allowances and features are those shown at checkout; the current table is on the landing page and, once signed in, under Usage › Plan.
Credits
- Credits are a unit of account for AI work inside Jaime. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be redeemed for money except where the law requires a refund.
- Every generation shows its price in credits before it runs and is charged at that quoted amount. A generation that fails is not charged; a reservation is released.
- Monthly plan credits do not expire while the plan is active. Purchased credit packs never expire. Credits are forfeited when an account is deleted.
- The welcome grant on new accounts is a gift for evaluation and may be changed or withdrawn for new sign-ups at any time.
Changes, cancellation, refunds
- You can change or cancel a plan any time from Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; you keep your credits and features until then.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email. A price change applies from your next renewal after the notice period; if you do not want it, cancel before then.
- Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law, or where we failed to provide the service for a material part of a period, in which case we will refund or credit that part.
- If a payment fails we retry, tell you, and may suspend paid features until it succeeds. We do not delete content for non-payment.
- Any applicable tax is shown at checkout before you pay and collected by Stripe. You are responsible for any tax we are not required to collect.
Free desktop edition
The free edition runs on your machine with your own model-provider keys. Your agreement with that provider governs those calls and their cost; we are not a party to it and never see the key.
4. Your content
Everything you put into Jaime — conversations, documents, files, tasks, personal entries — and everything Jaime generates for you stays yours. You grant us only the licence we need to store it, process it as you direct, show it to the people you share it with, and keep backups. That licence ends when the content is deleted, subject to backup retention in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Do not put into Jaime content you are not permitted to process, other people’s personal data without a lawful basis, or anything unlawful.
5. AI features and output
- Output can be wrong. Models make things up, miss context, and are confidently incorrect. Jaime shows its sources where it has them and records what it did; you are responsible for checking output before relying on it, publishing it, or acting on it — especially for legal, medical, financial, or safety decisions, where you should consult a professional.
- Agents act for you. When you let an agent or automation act — send, schedule, edit, publish — it does so on your authority. Jaime asks for approval before side effects it marks as requiring one and records every run; review those approvals as you would your own actions.
- Output is yours to use, to the extent we and our providers can grant it. Generated material may not be protectable by copyright in your jurisdiction and may resemble output generated for someone else. Do not represent AI output as human-made where doing so would mislead.
- Provider terms apply. Requests are fulfilled by the model providers listed on the Subprocessors page under their acceptable-use terms as well as ours. Content that a provider refuses, we cannot generate.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use Jaime to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone’s rights, privacy, or intellectual property;
- generate sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or material that promotes violence or hatred against people;
- impersonate a real person or organisation, or produce deceptive media of real people without consent;
- harass, threaten, or defame;
- attack, probe, scrape, or overload Jaime or anyone else’s systems, or evade rate limits and safety controls;
- resell access, share one account between people, or automate account creation;
- build a competing model or dataset from Jaime’s output.
Shared workspaces: the owner decides who is in and what role they hold. Members are bound by these terms through their own accounts. Removing a member ends their access at once.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks this section. Where practical we will tell you first and give you the chance to export your content.
7. Connected accounts and third-party services
When you connect Google, Microsoft, Apple, an MCP server, or any other service, you authorise Jaime to act on it within the permissions you granted. Those services have their own terms. You can disconnect any time in Settings › Integrations, which deletes the stored credential. We are not responsible for changes those services make to their APIs or for their availability.
8. What is ours
Jaime — the software, design, model routing, prompts, and brand — belongs to us or our licensors. These terms give you a personal, revocable right to use it; they do not transfer anything else. Feedback you send us may be used without obligation. Open-source components remain under their own licences.
9. Availability and changes to Jaime
We work to keep Jaime available and will post status and incident notices. We do not promise uninterrupted service. We will add, change, and occasionally remove features; where a change removes something you have paid for, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel for a pro-rated refund of the remaining period.
10. Ending this agreement
You can stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings; that removes your content as described in the Privacy Policy and cancels any subscription. We can end it with 30 days’ notice, or immediately for a breach of §6 or where the law requires. Sections 4, 5, 8, 11, 12 and 13 survive.
11. Disclaimers
Jaime is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties — express or implied — of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by contract.
12. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for everything arising out of these terms in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and US$100. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury, fraud, or gross negligence.
You will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from content you upload or from your breach of §6, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of Jaime is registered, and its courts have jurisdiction — without taking away any right you have as a consumer to bring a claim where you live. Before either of us goes to court we will try to resolve the matter by writing to legal@askjaime.xyz (or to your account email) and talking for 30 days.
14. Changes to these terms
We will update the date at the top when these terms change in substance and give signed-in users notice in the app at least 14 days before the change applies, or immediately for changes required by law or that only add functionality. If you do not agree, stop using Jaime and delete your account before the change takes effect.
15. The rest
These terms plus the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement. If a court finds part of them unenforceable the rest stands. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor that takes over Jaime. Notices to you go to your account email; notices to us go to legal@askjaime.xyz.
